Four Sentricon Termite Elimination System Inground Stations and Monitoring Devices (2 pieces of untreated pine wood and an extractor). The Always Active Bait is not provided with this item.

To monitor termites. The monitoring device should be replaced with Always Active Bait as soon as termite activity is noticed.

The active ingredient in Sentricon IG Always Active Baits - Termiticide Rods - is hexaflumuron, which is a chitin synthesis inhibitor, that is, it interferes with the ability to produce chitin. Chitin is a major component in termite exoskeleton. As such, hexaflumuron prevents the termites from completing their molting process. Termites die if they canâ€™t complete the molt process.

Transmission to other colony members is very efficient via trophallaxis, so hexaflumuron is distributed throughout the colony, resulting in colony elimination.

Regardless how much hexaflumuron is consumed, toxicity isnâ€™t evident until the termite moults. As termites donâ€™t die in or near the Sentricon IG Termiticide Rod, the Sentricon IG Termiticide Rod isnâ€™t repellent to unaffected termites and death is not associated with the Sentricon IG Termiticide Rod.
